Gabby Petito was reported missing on the 11th September 2021 while driving across the USA with her fiancé Brian Laundrie. Gabby, a modern young woman was documenting her "vanlife" adventure on social media. They appeared to be the ideal of a free-spirited adventurous couple. But behind the social media gloss a darker story emerged. When I started working on this documentary the story was emerging. Gabby was just missing. But by the end of the production Gabby had been founded murdered in Wyoming and Brian had taken his own life in a Florida swamp. The twists and turns of a live story took me back to my news roots.
